Jeanette Tanasha – Membangun Impian Dengan Lumée

Gadis pendiri Lumée Patisserie ini lulusan Macquarie University tahun 2018. Di sana, ia belajar hasrat terbesarnya, yaitu industri makanan. Jeanette lalu menempa diri lagi di Le Cordon Bleu Sydney’s Patisserie. Setelah itu ia magang di restoran Bather’s Pavillion dan kini bekerja di Bennelong Restaurant di Sydney Opera House. Pandemi Covid-19 menutup tempat kerjanya. Namun, Jeanette mengembangkan bisnis patisserie-nya sendiri, Lumée Patisserie.

Seeing how Sydney came into a lockdown with restaurants and other leisure activities to be put on hold, my sister and I have decided to create something that can put a smile back on people’s faces. Something simple that can enlighten people’s day. 

At first, we decided that we wanted to make some desserts for our closest friends, which was tiramisu at that time. The idea actually came up back when I was still at school and there was one time when I brought home the tiramisu that I had just made and shared it with my friends. To my surprise, everyone liked it and they even asked me to make it again and sell it! 

We started by selling only 1 flavour of tiramisu and now we have 4 different flavours along with a variety of cookies, choux and custom cakes.

I like to describe my style as classic but bold. I like to combine basic French techniques with traditional Indonesian flavours. It has to be perfectly executed with bold and punchy flavours. My newest creation for Lumée is Klepon Choux! Think about crunchy choux pastry filled with fragrant pandan custard, paired with sweet yet salty “unti kelapa” (coconut cooked with pandan leaf and palm sugar).

1. Original Tiramisu with Rum
Fluffy mascarpone cream layered with coffee & rum soaked lady fingers, dusted with dutch cocoa

(Lotus biscoff & white chocolate, Double dark chocolate & sea salt, Original Chocolate Chip, Peanut butter, dark chocolate & pretzel, Cornflakes & choc chip)
