Embark on a Journey to the Heart of Indonesia – Right at Sydney’s Waterfront

Sydney’s Circular Quay is set to transform into a haven of Indonesian culture

Picture the iconic Sydney Opera House and the grandeur of the Harbour Bridge as the backdrop to a scene straight out of the Indonesian archipelago. For the first time in nearly two years, this image will come to life at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay with “Indonesia by the Harbour,” a cultural event like no other.

On Saturday, 25th November, from noon to sunset, Sydney will pulse with the vibrant rhythms, colours, and flavours of Indonesia. This event is not just a celebration but a sensory voyage that invites Sydneysiders to revel in a tapestry of traditional and contemporary Indonesian experiences.

Prepare to be captivated by Suara Indonesia Dance, whose intricate choreography and vivid attire pay homage to Indonesia’s rich heritage of dance. Don’t miss the fashion highlights of the event, featuring Batik Chic’s unique blend of traditional and modern styles in batik fashion. Alongside, the Indonesia Modest Fashion Show will elegantly display the diversity and sophistication of Indonesian modest wear. The festival isn’t just a showcase but an interaction – where local musical talents like Marsha Mnjoyan, from The Voice Australia, and the dynamic beats of rapper GC Worldwide, add a modern twist to traditional notes.

“Indonesia by the Harbour” is a harmonious collaboration between the Indonesian Consulate General in Sydney, Garuda Indonesia, BNI, and Bespok3 – an event organiser renowned for their expertise in curating captivating experiences, as the lead organizer for “Indonesia by the Harbour”.

This is an open invitation to all of Sydneysiders – come, be part of a memorable encounter with Indonesia’s creative zest and innovation. Join us for a day where community, culture, and creativity come together to tell the story of Indonesia – a narrative as rich and diverse as its people.

We look forward to welcoming you to “Indonesia by the Harbour” – where Indonesia’s heart beats by Sydney’s sparkling waters.
