Lord Mayor Robert Doyle will today launch the City of Melbourne’s month-long Christmas Festival.
This is ahead of the official lighting of the city’s Christmas tree this evening.

Vision: Santa and his elves will be interacting with children in City Square which has been renamed ‘Christmas Square’ following its transformation into Melbourne’s Christmas hub complete with a 7 metre, 4.5 tonne living Christmas tree, a magical Christmas forest, Santa’s house and nativity scene.
